Education and learning 

The Education Department is located in the Education Centre, Sid Watkins Building. As an integrated education function, we comprise of Training & Development and Medical Education and the team are committed to providing first class service and training, development and educational opportunities to staff. In brief, the department provides the following: 

• Trust induction 
• Mandatory and statutory training 
• Continued Professional Development and all other non-medical study leave 
• Organisational Development 
• Leadership development 
• Vocational learning, including work placements and apprenticeships 
• Junior Doctor Induction 
• Medical student programmes 
• Junior Doctor / Consultant teaching programme 
• Management of the education centre facilities
