Jefferson Ward is a neurosurgical same day admission/discharge unit for patients undergoing surgical procedures including spinal surgery. The ward is an integral part of the neurosurgical patient pathway.
If it has been agreed that your surgical procedure is suitable for same day discharge you will come in to the hospital in the morning, have your procedure and go home on the same day, we have prepared a short video which gives further information to help you prepare, including what and what not to bring with you, any special arrangements to make at home, medication information and physio support.
Jefferson Ward also accommodates patients undergoing radiology, and pain-control procedures.

Jefferson Ward is located on the ground floor of the main hospital building.
