Information for outpatients
[Image - Outpatients HCA]The Walton Centre has two main on-site Outpatient departments: one in the main building and one in the Sid Watkins Building (which is near to the main building).
Please check your appointment information to ensure you are aware of the correct location of your appointment.
It is important that you bring the following to your appointment:
- Your appointment letter
- Your regular prescription list (if you have one)
- Any tablets or medicines that you are currently taking, including those which may be for any non-neurological conditions you have, for example asthma, heart disease.
The Walton Centre aims for patients to be seen on time, however, this is not always possible. If your clinic appointment is delayed, you will be notified.
It is important that you bring with you the medication that you need on the day of your appointment, particularly if you have to take your medicine at certain times of the day.
Please report to reception in the first instance when arriving for an appointment.
It is important to note that The Walton Centre is a teaching hospital. Medical students and junior doctors undergo education and training in all clinical environments. If you would prefer not to have a junior doctor present during your consultation please let the nurse in charge or your consultant know.
